We are continually inspired by the transformative impact of our programs and the lives they help shape, as reflected in stories like Carolyn’s.
After overcoming incredible challenges, Carolyn completed her doctorate in nursing practice and became a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She went on to open her own mental health practice, Balance Mental Health, now employing 10 clinicians who provide vital care in their community. Beyond her professional achievements, Carolyn married and adopted a teenager from foster care, creating a blended family of five children.
Her journey reflects the true power of the Live Your Dream Awards to not only change one woman’s life but also strengthen opportunity and hope for the next generation.
